MEDIA ADVISORY
WHO: Doctors for Patient Care (D4PC)
WHAT: demonstration and press conference
WHEN: Noon - 1:30pm, October 1, 2009
WHERE: John Marshall Park, 501 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington DC (across from Embassy of Canada)
WHY: D4PC is an organization of concerned physicians committed to the establishment of a health care system that preserves the sanctity of the doctor-patient relationship, promotes quality of care, supports affordable access to all Americans, and protects patients' freedom of choice. D4PC urges patients and physicians to get involved in order to preserve the good qualities of our healthcare system, address the problems, while preventing it's bureaucratic destruction. D4PC believes that the healthcare reform being debated by Congress did not get any input from the Doctors who will be impacted, and that the AMA represents only a small fraction of the Doctors practicing medicine.
KEY VISUALS: hundreds of doctors in scrubs and lab coats
D4PC physicians and surgeons will be available for interviews before and after the event on 10/1/09.
