What: The first Twitter Presidential Debate

When: 3:00 - 5:30pm ET on July 20, 2011

Where: Grappone Conference Center,  Courtyard by Marriott at 70 Constitution Ave, Concord, NH 03301

Why: to provide a forum for presidential candidates Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Herman Cain, former Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA), Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI),  former Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R-MN) and former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) to answer questions received via Twitter from tea party activists nationwide.

Background: TheTeaParty.net is hosting the first Presidential Twitter Debate in the cradle of primary politics, Concord, NH. Bestselling author and political pundit SE Cupp will moderate the debate, and nationally syndicated talk show host Rusty Humphries will host the post-debate discussion. This event is open to the media and to local tea party groups.

Visuals will include large screen TV monitors showing Twitter feeds, videos of candidates making introductory remarks and computer banks.
